Living Beyond Earth
Living in Space: Inside the Life of an Astronaut
Samantha Cristoforetti
Abstract

What is it really like to live and work in space? In this webinar, astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti takes us behind the scenes of life aboard the International Space Station (ISS), sharing her first-hand experiences of space exploration.

From the demanding journey of astronaut training to the challenges and routines of everyday life in orbit, we will discover how humans adapt to living in microgravity, what it takes to conduct scientific research in space, and how astronauts cope with the physical and psychological demands of long-duration missions, including the extraordinary experience of a spacewalk (EVA).

Through Samantha’s personal stories and insights, we will also explore one of the most remarkable aspects of spaceflight: seeing Earth from orbit and gaining a completely new perspective on our planet and our place in the universe.

An inspiring opportunity to discover the human side of space exploration, where science, technology, curiosity and the spirit of adventure come together.
