SBRB earns European recognition!
Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol Wins the MYFER Award for Schools Beyond Regions and Borders
We are thrilled to share some exciting news: last week the Region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol was awarded the prestigious MYFER (Most Youth-Friendly European Region) Award by the Assembly of European Regions.
This recognition celebrates regions that stand out for their innovative youth initiatives and the positive impact they bring to their communities. We are honoured to share this award with Krapina-Zagorje County (Croatia), recognized for its inspiring ReCeZa – Regional Centre Zabok project.
Our project, Schools Beyond Regions and Borders, was highlighted by the jury for creating a unique platform where high schools from both EU and non-EU countries come together. Through cultural exchange, teacher and student mobility, and a strong focus on multilingualism and social inclusion, the initiative embodies the vision of a united and diverse Europe.
The jury particularly praised our commitment to:
• Knowledge-sharing and peer learning across borders
• Capacity-building for European youth
• Gender equality and equal opportunities, especially for linguistic minorities, students from rural areas, and those with fewer opportunities
This award is a tribute to the dedication of our students, teachers, and schools, whose passion has made this project a success. It motivates us to keep growing, connecting communities, and enriching educational opportunities across Europe.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has believed in Schools Beyond Regions and Borders and contributed to this achievement!
